What are the right steps to recycle plastic food packaging?
Here are some tips on how to recycle your plastic food packaging:
- Rinse out food or liquids from the packaging.
Ensure that the packaging is completely clean before disposing it in a recycling bin.
- Remove any wrappings or labels from the packaging.
Check for stickers and other decorative forms that can cause contamination in the recycler’s pipeline. To combat this, we provide IML, a fully recyclable packaging that optimises recycling.
- Check for a “crush to conserve” label when recycling plastic bottles.
If the label exists, crush the bottle by removing the lid, twisting the bottle from the top, and pressing it down. Next, place the lid back onto the bottle and disposing it in a recycling bin.
